ComparePrices.mu was launched on 14 September 2009. Within 4 weeks of our launch, Alexa.com ranked us as the 166th most visited website in Mauritius, which is very promising. Most retailers' websites are normally ranked above 1000.
Statistics for the first 2 weeks ended 30 September 2009:
- 7,622 visits
- 6,408 visitors
- 86,205 pages visited (11.18 pages/visit)
During those 2 weeks, we only promoted the website using Facebook, Google Adwords, Orange.mu and mass emailing. We believe that the results obtained so far are very promising. Our 3-week press advertising campaign scheduled for November 2009 will raise a greater general awareness about the website and we expect the number of visitors to increase to at least 40,000 during that month
